Quiet

I woke up at 3:30-ish this morning. I guess that is what I get for going to bed at 8:30 PM. Whoops, I fell asleep! Don’t judge me.

I didn’t look at the clock for a while, because I assumed it was 6 AM and I was just waiting for my alarm to go off. I oddly was not hearing any traffic, and logical Katie considered that maybe it was the middle of the night. I looked. It was almost 4 AM and I needed to try and go back to sleep. So I sang myself a little lullaby in my head and attempted to turn of my thoughts.

John Mayer has helped me through a lot of problems, and while he has had a lot of his own, he is still my favorite artist, a gifted guitar player and writer. I can’t believe it has been over 10 years since Room for Squares came out. While my musical tastes have come and gone, John Mayer has consistently been there for me since I bought that CD my Freshman year of high school. I may still have a crush on him. He is a reformed bad boy now and I forgive him for his past transgressions! Lapses in judgement… we all have them. I can’t wait until his new CD Born and Raised comes out this year.

Edit: shortly after I posted this, John released a portion of his new single on Tumblr. Now I really can’t wait for his new CD to come out.
