If you know me in real life, you know I love watching tv. I’m addicted to reality tv. I don’t really like watching movies. But if it’s a tv show, I’ll watch it. There’s been a break in filming due to COVID, so there’s not a ton of new tv on right now, but here’s what I’ve been watching:
Big Brother (CBS): for as long as I can remember in my adult life, summer means Big Brother. Because of COVID, I didn’t think there would be a BB22 season this year, but they made it happen. Just a little later in the summer than what is normal. Besides, what is a safer filming opportunity than a bunch of people being sequestered in a house?! This season is a bit different because it is an All Star season, so everyone on it has played at least one season of BB prior to this season.
Real Housewives of Orange County (Hulu): I was ~influenced~ to watch this by some friends of mine. I love almost all of the content on Bravo, especially the Real Housewives franchises. However, I had never seen a single episode of Orange County! I was intimidated because there are so many seasons. Wowowow, I am so glad I started watching it. The drama is incredible and I am completely obsessed with it. My goal is to be caught up on the franchise by the time the new season premiers in October.
Challenger: The Final Flight (Netflix): this is a four part docuseries, but I really recommend you watch all 4 episodes at once. This was incredibly well-done and moving, documenting the Challenger space shuttle explosion in 1986 as well as all of the training and preparation that goes into getting ready to go into space. Such a sad event in American history. The documentary will make you feel sad, and mad, but proud at the same time. The 7 crew who perished that day were so very loved, and it was really moving to watch all of the footage and celebrate their memory through this docuseries.
Dora & Friends: into the city (Nick Jr.): Theo is a big fan of Dora the Explorer. She is guaranteed to turn his frown upside down. Also, seeing Theo sitting in front of the TV watching it just makes me LOL.
I’m really looking forward to Grey’s Anatomy which is coming back in a few weeks. Yes, I still watch it. Also anxiously awaiting 90 Day Fiance The Other Way to come back from their mid-season COVID hiatus! Oh, and Southern Charm and Below Deck on Bravo. Fall TV will be LIT in October and November!!!
