Discovery Place Kids – Huntersville

The Discovery Place Kids museum in Huntersville is AWESOME. I recently took Theo one morning, but I wasn’t sure what to expect. I figured it would be fun to check out once as something to do one morning, but it turned out to be so much more than that. And bonus: it’s only a few miles from our house!

First things first, there is a little fenced off area for toddlers and their families. Theo absolutely loved crawling around that area. I could tell he had a great time once he got comfortable with his surroundings. It was nice doing an indoor activity too, so we can do it whenever we want to and not have to worry about the weather.

The whole museum is full of various play pretend areas. Of course the highlight for me was the grocery store (sponsored by Publix). They also had a doctors office, a vet clinic, a gym, airport security, a bank, and so many more stations. When Theo starts walking, we are going to have so much fun there together.

As far as COVID precautions go, they require all guests 2 and older to wear face masks the entire time that they are in the museum. Also, there seemed to be a lot of employees cleaning as we were there as well. They had timed tickets to control the number of people in the museum at any time.

The kids museum was a perfect morning activity! In fact, thanks to Granna and Pops, we will soon be members of the museum and we will also have 2 guest passes per visit, so let me know if you’d like to join us!
