Build-a-Bear Birthday Bear

In true Katie / mama fashion, we have been celebrating Theo’s birthday for at least a week. The weekend before his birthday, we decided to establish a little birthday tradition for Theo! Taking him to Build-a-Bear to make his own birthday bear.

PSA: Did you know that if you are a member of their loyalty program, you can pick one of their birthday bears, and it only costs as much as your child is old? Theo’s bear cost us $1 this year, plus accessories. We got the bear a Happy Birthday shirt for $6.

I don’t think Theo really understood what was going on (lol), but I am really big on traditions and this seems like a really fun (and inexpensive) one.

As far as COVID precautions go, we felt very safe. They had a limit of how many people could be in the store at one time, and required masks and hand sanitizer before you could enter the store.
