Dupe Scoop: Lake Pajamas

My favorite pajama brand is Lake Pajamas. They are so cozy and comfortable and they come in really cute prints. However, they don’t come with a cheap price tag ($70-$90(, so I am always on the hunt for jammies of the same quality, but a less expensive price point.

Enter: Target’s Stars Above. Their pajamas and loungewear are all I hear people talking about! Especially during these COVID-times, when many of us are in our pajamas all day. I always prefer long sleeved tops with shorts, or a long sleeved nightgown.

Most of my Lake Pajamas are their pima cotton, which are a bit thicker but still very soft. I saw that they had recently released their henley nightgown. It has the same exact fabric specifications as the Stars Above set that I got (95% spandex / 5% modal). I am happy to report that both sets of pajamas are equally as soft – equal thickness (thinner but softer than the pima cotton).

I am using stock photos, because I am a little too insecure right now to post photos of myself modeling clothes here. I am working on it!

Bottom line: I will absolutely order more Stars Above at the bargain price of $25, and I will probably stick with the pima cotton Lake Pajamas going forward! I must admit, I don’t need any more pairs of pajamas for a while though!

Dupe Scoop: Barefoot Dreams Blanket

To know me is to know that I am obsessed with all things Barefoot Dreams. There’s nothing like cozying up with the softest blanket ever, and a good book or TV show. I have a few of the Barefoot Dreams blankets from Nordstrom Rack, which are slightly smaller than the original ones, but just as soft!

When I found out that Sam’s Club sells a dupe, I don’t think I’ve ever ordered anything faster! I was so excited that it shipped to me faster than I expected also!! Best mail day EVER.

The Original Barefoot Dreams “In the Wild” blanket

The blanket is incredibly soft, perhaps softer than my Barefoot Dreams blankets. It also has a similar “stretchy” feel, but I don’t think it feels quite as stretchy as my Barefoot Dreams. The print is so cute, and looks very similar to the original “In the Wild” print, just in a different color palate. As far as thickness goes, it’s not quite as thick but I don’t think I would notice a true difference unless I had the two side by side.

Bottom line? If you don’t have or don’t want to spend $180 on a blanket, the Sam’s Club dupe is a great option. I love the colors available, and at $30, the price truly is right!!!

Dupe Scoop: Brazilian Bum Bum Body Wash

Hopefully everyone had a chance to check out my post on Brazilian Bum Bum Cream (BBBC), and my report on the potential dupe (spoiler alert: I don’t think there is a dupe for the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream).

I also have been using the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Body Wash ($25 for 13 oz) – it’s great! Very moisturizing and smells fantastic. The classic scent that you’d expect. However, the scent is not long lasting like the BBBC.

Enter: OGX Coconut Oil Miracle Oil Body Wash ($6.99 for 19.5 oz)! The same brand as the lotion that I reviewed in Dupe Scoop.

This body wash is fantastic – the biggest perk of BBBC to me is the long lasting scent. Since the body wash doesn’t have the same long lasting effects, I was definitely more open-minded to liking this product!! It’s more coconut-y than the Sol de Janeiro body wash and obviously not the same scent, but it leaves my skin so soft and is enjoyable to use!

Bottom line: this is a great budget body wash that still has that tropical scent. I definitely recommend it!
