Dupe Scoop: Lululemon Headbands

Does anyone have workout headbands that constantly fall off of them? I have a few Lululemon headbands (pictures above) and I cannot keep them on. I have pretty thin hair so it’s easy for them to slip right off. I’m constantly adjusting the headband – whether I’m working out, or just hanging out at home. It’s really annoying.

I finally found a cute headband that stays put during my workouts, errands around town, going for walks, etc. Erase Athletics headbands actually stay put. And they have tons of cute colors.

I constantly have baby hairs flying in my face due to postpartum hair loss / regrowth, so this headband has been a critically important wardrobe component for me lately!

Dupe Scoop: Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

Last year, I got hooked on Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bum Bum Cream (BBBC). I have tubs of it all over my house. It’s my favorite scented lotion (for the record, my favorite unscented lotion is Cerave moisturizing cream). However, the 240 mL tub comes in at the steep price of $45. In my opinion, it’s worth it, but I am always down to try a budget-friendly alternative.

I heard there was a good dupe from Target available, the OGX Coconut Miracle Oil body lotion, and naturally I ordered some immediately.

A few things about Sol de Janeiro’s BBBC. The scent is incredible and long lasting. It’s a perfect mix of pistachio, almond, and vanilla, and the scent literally lasts all day without being overpowering. Also, the BBBC single-handedly faded the stretch marks I had from being pregnant with Theo. The cream is infused with Guarana extract, which is reported to help visibly lift and firm your skin.

I was pumped to try the OGX Coconut Miracle Oil lotion, but I don’t think I would go as far to say as it stands up as a dupe. It smells great, but the scent is not long lasting – and it smells similar to BBBC, but not the same. I only smell coconut and vanilla. It also doesn’t have the same lifting and firming properties. But at $6.99 for a huge bottle (19.5 oz, but my bottle says 50% free and I got almost a 30 Oz bottle!)

Bottom line: will I use the OGX Miracle Oil lotion? Definitely. It smells great and is a good budget friendly option, if you like a coconut scent. Will it replace Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, for me? Definitely not. Coconut has always been my favorite lotion scent (anyone remember Exotic Coconut from Bath and Body Works?!), so I will definitely get some use out of this lotion.

Also, my friend Ashley reviews dupes on her TikTok and here is her product comparison of BBBC and OGX Coconut Miracle Oil Lotion!

Dupe Scoop: Baby Hand and Face Wipes

We have containers of baby hand & face wipes all over our house. I had been buying the Johnson & Johnson ones, until a friend told me that Target has it’s own dupe for significantly cheaper!!

I prefer the scent of the Johnson and Johnson wipes, but the Up&Up ones do the trick! And the price is right. Also, the J&J wipes have a hard plastic dispenser, whereas the Target brand just has a sticky resealable top, which doesn’t look or feel as premium.

At Target.com you can buy the J&J Wipes (25 count) for $2.99 and the Up&Up brand for $1.72 – almost half the price!

Bottom line? I switched to the Up&Up wipes because the cost savings is so significant. And, it’s baby wipes. They all do the same thing! And as long as they don’t irritate baby’s skin, it’s all the same to me.
