Hi! My name is Katie and my husband’s name is Matt. We have been married since 2016, together since 2013, and have a sweet baby boy named Theo. We also have 2 rescue dogs: Jerry (8) and Sandy (4). You’ll hear more about all of them here.
I am very close to my family and one of my dad’s nicknames for me is “Cake” – hence the blog name. I’ll share lots of pieces of me here! I have a mom and dad, younger brother, and 8 year old dog sister. I am revitalizing my blog that I had when I was single and in my 20’s. In the interest of authenticity, all of those blog posts will be found here as well. While I am in a completely different chapter of my life, my voice and my interests have remained the same.
I recently left a 10 year career to become a stay at home mom for a few years. My family is my world, and I’m so lucky to be able to be at home with my baby and fur children. Like so many things in my life, it was never the plan, but it somehow feels like it was my destined path. I’m not a regular mommy blogger, I’m a cool mommy blogger.
